Overview

Membean offers a wealth of data, including all of the details of each individual student training session. Understanding session details can help you talk with your students when you notice suboptimal training patterns. This article will show you the different ways you can access training session details and what information you can find there.

Viewing Details from Your Report

Click on the class you want to view.

When the report generates, click on either the Details or Alerts button beneath the Overview column.

You'll see a calendar view with the dates that the student trained. Click on a day to see the student's session details. Orange days indicate that suboptimal training occurred that day.

Clicking on one of the alerts will bring you to the training details page. You can expand each section to view the details.

Viewing Details from the Activity Log

When you navigate to a student's activity log, you can use the drop-down menu next to a session and click View Session Report.

Details of a Student Training Session

Part 1: Summary information shows the training date, number of sessions, total time spent, new words, and questions correct/incorrect. This also displays how many sessions the student completed on this day, as well as the start and finish time of the current session that you are viewing.

Part 2: The accuracy window shows the number of questions answered correctly versus incorrectly and the student's accuracy percentage. This window also lists the words the student got incorrect with the corresponding question type.

Part 3: The activity window shows all detected inactive zones. An inactive zone is two or more minutes of no page interaction during a training session.

Part 4: The review pace window shows the median time of word restudy. You can also see the review time spent on every word the student got wrong during the session.

Part 5: The IKT (I Know This) use window shows the number of new words, new words skipped, and the percentage of new words skipped. This window also lists all new words seen and new words skipped.

Part 6: On the Session Length window you can slide the black dot along the timeline to watch the progress of the training session. The graph shows the following information:

  • Whether the item seen was a question or a word page
  • Whether the word page was presented for review or introduced as a new word
  • Whether a question was answered correctly
  • An approximate time used to answer the question or view the word page
