You love Membean, so share the love! Help other ELA teachers and their students by referring a friend or fellow educator to us. As a thank you for your referral, you’ll be eligible for gift cards, fun prizes, and more! This article breaks down Membean's referral program.
How It Works
It’s easy to refer a fellow educator to Membean! Simply send an email introduction (make sure to cc: us at sales@membean.com so we know to give you credit!), and we’ll follow up with your connection. Just by providing a referral that meets our criteria (and is not already using Membean), you’ll receive a $25 gift card to Amazon or UberEats! If your referral ends up purchasing Membean, you’ll receive a $150 gift card to show our thanks.
Referrals should fit the following criteria:
- English/ELA Teacher or administrator working in grades 6-12 outside of your campus
- Working for a public school/district or private school
- Not currently piloting or has not previously piloted Membean
- Not a tutor or homeschool educator
And the love continues! Your friend will also receive a special gift from Membean, thanks to your referral.

FAQs
When do I know if I’m eligible to receive my thank you gift? Our team will review and follow up with your referred educator as soon as possible. We’ll be in touch shortly thereafter about your thank you gift.
Can you provide a template for my email introduction? Speaking from your experience will be better than any canned email we put together for you and will have a more powerful impact on your fellow educator. We recommend keeping it simple, sharing why you love Membean, and why you think they should give us a look.
Can I just send you my friend's information for the referral? Your connection to your fellow educator is much more impactful than anything Membean could send to them directly. Your friend is far more likely to respond to you than to a company they may be unfamiliar with, which is why we are requesting a personal introduction.
What are the expectations of me after I make the introduction? After your email introduction and our team’s confirmation that your referral meets our criteria, you are eligible for the thank you gifts! However, we would appreciate any further involvement you are willing to provide, such as attending our team’s Zoom chat with your referral. If you are so inclined, this participation will have a positive influence on the referral and increase the likelihood that they’ll sign on to Membean (making you eligible for the additional thank you gifts!).
