This can be done by using the "Stop new words" option in Preferences.
A teacher would use this option:
- If the pace of new words being introduced is still too fast after turning on strong memory mode. This option is used primarily with remedial students.
- Prior to a major final assessment, to ensure no new words are introduced.
- Follow the steps to edit student preferences.
- Check "Stop new words."
- Be sure to click "Save Changes."
Be sure to reset the option immediately after the assessment to allow the student to continue training. If a student encounters a "Stable Memory" message while this option is set, they should press the "Continue" button to train.
